Stick the paper in your pocket and when you feel your ambition start to falter, pull it out and refresh your memory about why this was an important task to accomplish. Goals, and tasks, that are written by hand have a more "real" and permanent feel to them as compared to something you simply type into your PC. Just the act of actually writing the words on paper makes the worlds more relevant.
If you want to motivate yourself -make sure you get a reward when you complete something. If you’ve done a good job at finishing something on (or ahead of) schedule, don’t just take on the next project. It’s better to sometimes kick back and relax after you’ve put in some good effort. Such a reward will help you to focus, and this can increase your efficiency.
But you should only give yourself a reward when you’ve really accomplished something. Rewards must be balanced with hard work so that you’re properly motivated. Yet you will work harder knowing that you have a reward to look forward to. It worked when you were a little kid, there isn’t any reason it won’t work now.
